A donation from Campsie RSL Group was used to purchase an Integrated Power Console (IPC) system to improve the experience of children having ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery at Canterbury Hospital.

The IPC is a specialised surgical tool that helps remove soft and hard tissue, and bone during surgery in a less painful and less invasive way. Surgeons can connect multiple hand tools at one time, control the speed and pressure during wound irrigation, and can easily navigate a large touchscreen menu. This new equipment will improve the surgical experience surgery and reduce their overall recovery time for the people who have ENT surgery at Canterbury Hospital.
