Every year registered clubs within the Canterbury Bankstown Council contribute a required amount of funding into the Canterbury Bankstown local Clubs Grants Committee. The Committee comprising of Club and Council representatives then assess all the non-for-profit local organisations funding requests. This year there were 161 applications requesting over $3.9 million.
This year 69 organisations received funding for 89 projects or programs in the Category 1 section. The successful applicants received a total of $1,872,055.
Campsie RSL Group’s Category 1 contribution was $301,292 to 23 local organisations. Some of our major recipients were Canterbury Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Belmore Boys High School, Tresillian Baby Family Care, Biyani Women’s Shelter, Learning Links, RSL Veterans Life Care, Westmead Hospital and The National Heart Program.
